Tom Hiddleston returns with a thirst for further chaos in the latest trailer for the Disney+ exclusive “Loki” Season 2.
In the recently released trailer, we see Hiddleston again embodying the notorious god of mischief, joined by the familiar face of Owen Wilson and newcomer Ke Huy Quan. Picking up after “Avengers: Endgame,” the series dives deeper into the journey of the rogue god as he teams up with the Time Variance Authority. Their mission? To pinpoint superhero anomalies causing havoc across various multiverse timelines.
Owen Wilson steps back into the shoes of Mobius M. Mobius. However, Season 2 promises unexpected twists for his character, especially after the memory loss cliffhanger of the first season’s climax. Fans can also anticipate the return of actors like Eugene Cordero, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Tara Strong, Rafael Casal, and others.
The dramatic ending of Season 1 left Hiddleston stranded in an unfamiliar reality following the monumental death of He Who Remains, portrayed by Jonathan Majors.
The series has managed to rope in Quan, who recently stole the limelight with his award-winning performance in “Everything Everywhere All At Once.” While specifics about his role remain mysterious, the trailer confirms his affiliation with the Time Variance Authority. Joining the ensemble is “Game of Thrones” alum, Kate Dickie, rumoured to be a new antagonist.
Behind the scenes, “Loki” Season 2 boasts six episodes crafted by Eric Martin. Directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have each been roped in for an attack, while Michael Waldron continues to helm the show. Producing powerhouses Hiddleston, Waldron, Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito, and Kevin Feige are set to reprise their roles as executive producers.
Fans can tune into “Loki” Season 2 on Disney+ from October 6.
