Attempting some “youthful antics” recently left Kevin Hart reliant on a wheelchair.

The acclaimed actor shared this update via a video on his official Instagram account, with a caption humorously stating, “I must be the silliest man alive!”

In the post, Hart humorously recalls his attempt to compete in a 40-yard dash against his friend and former NFL player, Stevan Ridley. This adventurous race led to Hart sustaining an injury.

Hart commented, “Being 40 is no joke. To everyone out there who’s hit 40 or beyond, it’s serious. Honour your age.”

He went on to explain the consequences of his daring sprint. “I made a bet with Ridley thinking I’d outpace him and, well, the result was quite the opposite,” he joked.

“I’ve injured my lower abdomen and my abductors,” Hart disclosed. “Not entirely sure what those are, but they’re damaged. I can’t walk now.”

In a light-hearted self-critique, 44-year-old Hart asked why he even considered such a race, labelling himself the “most foolish man alive.”

Ridley responded to Hart’s video on his own Instagram stories: “Saw @TomBrady doing this at your age, so thought you could too, big bro!” Ridley said, nodding to his ex-teammate from the New England Patriots. “Apologies @KevinHart4Real! Get well soon and keep making us laugh!”

It’s worth noting that in 2019, Hart had a car accident resulting in significant back injuries.

Kevin Hart’s recent misadventure serves as a reminder that age often comes with limitations, even for the biggest stars. Yet, in true Hart fashion, he finds humour even in challenging situations, reminding us all to laugh at life’s hiccups and to always see the lighter side of things. As he recuperates, fans worldwide send their wishes and hope to see him back in action soon.
