A Glimpse Into Elvis’s Life

These size ten and a half “Nann-Bush” branded shoes were worn by Elvis during some of his most iconic performances, including his appearance on “The Steve Allen Show” in 1956, where he sang “I Want You, I Need You, I Love You” and “Hound Dog.”
In 1958, the night before Elvis was set to leave for the US Army, he had an all-night party at Graceland, his famous Memphis home. As described in a letter by Elvis’s close friend Alan Fortas, “Elvis called some of us upstairs and was giving away some of his clothes he didn’t think he would be wearing or wanted when he returned from the army. That night, Elvis gave me these blue suede shoes, size 10 1/2. I’ve owned these all these years.”
Jimmy Velvet, a close friend of Elvis and the founder of the Elvis Presley Museum, has confirmed the authenticity of these shoes, making them a genuine piece of music history.

An outfit worn by Freddie Mercury in the music video for Queen’s “I’m Going Slightly Mad” fetched an impressive £197,000 (nearly $250,000).
