Fendi, the distinguished Italian fashion house, brought its autumn haute couture runway show to the former Parisian stock exchange building. The event saw creative genius Kim Jones introduce a contemporary assortment of elegant, airy gowns for formal occasions.

In the stark, minimalist expanse of the neoclassical Palais Brongniart, models strutted on a polished marble runway accompanied by the grand strains of an opera score.

The models showcased slim, full-length gowns, elegantly constructed with intricate draping techniques and seemingly free of hems, giving the appearance of the fabric being effortlessly stripped of any surplus material.

The runway show began with a model in a lengthy, nude-toned gown featuring a full skirt designed to cover only one shoulder and tightly fitted around the bust area.

Subsequent monochromatic ensembles followed, primarily in soft pastel shades or black, paired with chunky, cowboy-boot-styled heels and carrying delicate clutches close to their bodies.

Adding to the sensory experience, specific trousers and jacket sets were adorned with heavy crystals. In contrast, some short jackets worn off the shoulder seemed to float weightlessly, including a sleeveless mint green gown.

Jones, who also serves as the creative director for the menswear division of Dior, another fashion house under the LVMH umbrella, shared his bow with Delfina Delettrez Fendi, the artistic director of jewellery.

Celebrities like Cardi B, Shakira, and Naomi Watts graced the front-row seats at the show.

The haute couture shows in Paris concluded by featuring major fashion houses such as Giorgio Armani Prive, Balenciaga (owned by Kering, PRTP.PA), Dior, Valentino, and the American fashion house Thom Browne.

The Fendi runway show highlighted the ageless charm of haute couture, elegantly blending tradition with a touch of modernity. It was a breathtaking spectacle, inviting spectators into a world where intricate designs, bold silhouettes, and delicate textures became a form of art. As Paris Fashion Week comes to a close, it’s clear that despite the ongoing changes in the world, the allure of haute couture remains undimmed, continuing to inspire and ignite the fashion industry with its extraordinary creativity.
