On the concluding day of Paris haute couture week, Maison Sara Chraibi unveiled a series of structurally intriguing pieces marked by complex geometric designs.

A rhythmic galloping signalled the models’ entrance, who moved leisurely, affording the spectators an up-close view of the intricate outfits. Their golden stilettos pierced the gravel runway in a Paris’ Left Bank schoolyard.

The runway was first graced with elongated ivory gowns featuring either voluminous hooded capes or exaggerated sleeves.

The collection prominently highlighted embroidered embellishments, with diamond motifs adorning the bustiers and rows of braids outlining an open back.

Chraibi, operating out of Rabat, emphasized her intention of clothing women for significant events. She views her brand as embodying a degree of “rigour” alongside its opulence.

Her previous architectural experience has influenced her approach to fashion, as demonstrated in the attention to detail given to the rear of the outfits.

“A garment is akin to a building; it demands viewing from every angle,” Chraibi commented post-show.

This was her sophomore appearance as a guest at the Paris haute couture event, an esteemed lineup that includes heavyweights like Chanel, Dior, and Giorgio Armani Prive.

This season’s roster featured guest designers such as Spain’s Juana Martin and Cameroon-born Imane Ayissi.

In a time when fashion increasingly intertwines with technology and sustainability, it’s refreshing to see a designer stay true to traditional craft. Maison Sara Chraibi’s sculptural designs and intricate embroidery showcased an age-old appreciation for geometric forms and meticulous detailing. As the designer ascends on her haute couture journey, fashion connoisseurs worldwide will be watching closely.
