Initially mistaking the figure for a mountain lion, they were surprised to find a dog chasing birds at the pyramid’s summit, 448 feet above ground.  

“We noticed something running back and forth on top of the pyramid,” Mosher told CNN Travel. “One person thought it was a mountain lion.” This unexpected discovery prompted concern among the group. Mosher wondered if the dog was stranded, but eventually concluded, “If he got himself up, he can get himself down unless he found some secret portal that helped him teleport to the top of the pyramids.”

The next day, the group returned to the site but couldn’t spot the dog. However, a fellow adventurer filmed what appeared to be the same dog safely descending the pyramid. With hundreds of stray dogs roaming the Giza complex, it’s unclear if it was the same animal.
